Alison is a 5th year MChem with Maths student from Colorado completing her 5th year project with the group. Last year, she completed a 4th year project with Dr. Herbert Früchtl computationally investigating the energetics and structure of dopant cerium oxide electrolytes in solid oxide fuel cells. Her project with Professor Sharon Ashbrook this year will focus on using computational methods to investigate the mechanisms of hydration in inner-earth minerals, specifically Forsterite.
