From Champagne-Ardenne in the north-east of France, Henri graduated from the École Normale Supérieure in Paris with a MSc in Physical Chemistry. After an internship in Gareth Morris' Research Group in Manchester, he went to St Andrews to undertake his PhD under the supervision of Dr. Sharon Ashbrook. His research is currently focussed on investigating ways of improving high-resolution solid-state NMR methods such as MQMAS, especially at high MAS spinning frequencies.

Apart from NMR, he enjoys oenology and fine cuisine, music (like jazz and English classic rock), playing his guitar, swimming, and Japan !
