John is a postdoctoral research fellow funded by EPSRC.

John comes from Weston-Super-Mare in North Somerset, and studied for a degree in physics at Warwick University. He stayed at Warwick to carry out a PhD under the supervision of Dr Steven Brown, and in collaboration with AstraZeneca, looking at applications of high-resolution solid-state NMR to the study of hydrogen-bonded systems.

In his spare time he enjoys socialising and attempting to learn foreign languages.
