Malcolm is in the fourth and final year of a joint Chemistry and Mathematics degree. He was awarded a Chemistry bursary in his first year and has now joined the Ashbrook group for his Honours project. He is working on the use of first-principles calculations of solid-state NMR spectra of high-pressure minerals.

A past captain of the University Golf Club, Malcolm is a keen golfer, but also enjoys many other sports including football and badminton.
