Having recently completed a degree in Biomolecular and Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Martin has now moved to St Andrews to begin his PhD in the Ashbrook group. In his spare time he enjoys playing the guitar and losing money at poker.

Martins PhD work is focussing on using multinuclear solid-state NMR to study ceramics and inorganic materials.
