Martin is in his fifth and final year student at the University of St Andrews studying for an MChem in Chemistry. His project is to synthesise and study peri-based heterocycles under the supervision of Derek Woollins and in collaboration with Paula Sanz Camacho from the Ashbrook group.

In his spare time Martin enjoys brewing his own beer, playing drums, running, and travelling.
