Paula graduated from the University Complutense of Madrid in 2010 with a BSc in Chemistry. Then, she spent 2 years completing her MChem on Advanced spectrometry in chemistry. Her main hobbies are practicing sport like swimming, travelling and photography.

Paula has now moved to St Andrews to begin her PhD jointly between Ashbrook group and the Woollins group investigating the synthesis and characterisation of selenium- and phosphorus-based heterocycles using solid-state NMR and crystallography.
