Rachael is in her fourth and final year of a BSc degree in Chemistry and has joined the Ashbrook group for her Final Year Honours Project. She is using solid-state NMR to investigate the use of pyrochlore ceramics for radioactive waste encapsulation.

Outside of Chemistry, Rachael is a keen musician and enjoys spending time baking and cooking. She is also very involved with the University’s Christian Union.
