Rob originates from St Helens in the North West of England. He completed his MChem Chemistry with Industrial Placement degree at the University of St Andrews in 2014 and has now joined the Ashbrook group to start a PhD. His research is currently focussed on utilising first-principles calculations to assist the development and application of solid-state NMR methodology.

Outside of the Chemistry department Rob enjoys swimming, running, cooking and playing guitar.
