Scott has recently graduated from the University of Keele with a BSc in Chemistry with Biochemistry, where his final year project was on the study of dendrimer-zeolite hybrid catalysts. He is currently undertaking a PhD in the area of solid-state NMR of microporous materials with the Ashbrook Group.

Outside of research he has interests in hiking, tea drinking and long walks on the beach.

Scott completed an EPSRC Prize Doctoral Fellowship in the Ashbrook Group 2015-2016.
