Nasima completed her Masters degree in Physical Chemistry from Govt. College Lahore, Pakistan and PhD degree in Chemistry from Queen Mary University of London. Her PhD project was based on the structural characterisation of zinc- containing phosphate-based glasses and related crystalline materials, using solid-state NMR and neutron diffraction. She is currently working with Prof Sharon Ashbrook as a postdoctoral research fellow.

Outside of the lab she likes reading good books, travelling and spending time with her family.
